This video from the 1930's shows a very amusing prediction of what women will be wearing in the year 2000. Everything from transparent net, the disappearance of skirts all together (excuse me while I have a flashback to the required uniform of overalls of all members of the Party in 1984), electric belts that adapt the body to changes in climate, and flashlights tied to the top of the head is predicted. Funnily enough, heels like these actually have been seen recently. Also, gotta love the narrator's commentary. "Oooh, swish!" & "Containers for coins, keys and candy for cuties"? Like I said, gotta love it.
